What Can We Do?
As we Gather together, and Grow in His Word, we are to Go out into our world to share the life-changing love of Christ with others.  In Acts 1:8, Jesus says, “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”  It is the prayer of Solid Rock to show God’s Love by sharing His message and serving the needs of those in our Blissfield community and beyond!
Upcoming Opportunities
Blissfield Area Food Pantry
Solid Rock will once again partner with Borchardt Brothers Market by placing the food pantry donation box in the front of the store on Wednesday, February 14, 2024 and it will remain there through Easter Sunday, March 31, 2024.  Since we have been successful in obtaining food items for the pantry, this time we will be focusing on collecting the following items:  Paper products such as toilet paper, paper towels and Kleenex tissues.  Toiletries such as soap, dental products, deodorant, razors, shampoo and conditioner.  And last but not least, laundry soap, dish soap and cleaning supplies.  Thanks to Sally Rochette for being our liaison with the food pantry.
Solid Rock to Host Lenten Breakfast
The Season of Lent is connected with the 40 days leading up to Easter in which Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the desert where He was tempted by the devil.  It’s a time for us to personally and within our community,  reflect on our spiritual life and our commitment to the Lord as we prepare for the celebration of our Lord’s Resurrection!
We have a wonderful opportunity to serve our community by hosting a breakfast this Lenten Season, for the Blissfield Ministerial Association.   If you would like to assist with this event, please contact Ruth Isley or Gladys Sprunk.
